Mindful Quote Mention…
I’m trying something new.
Outside of fitness and nutrition, I practice mindfulness a lot. Something I’ve learned to do over the years to keep me….centered, for lack of a better word.
I like my privacy, but I figure there’s no harm in sharing some of my favorite quotes from time to time.
This one really resonates with me – strength is so much more than physical. Physical strength stems from mental strength, and mental strength comes from drive – that inner fire.
If you have drive, and you have a vision, nothing will stop you – it doesn’t matter the objective, or how long it takes.
Strength eliminates fear.
Fear is simply the unknown.
We fear what we don’t know – we fear trying and we fear failing…but this isn’t innate.
So why do we fear?
Because it’s taught.
In most civilized societies, it’s taught…we’re taught to expect failure and hope for success…and the same way it can be taught or learned – it can be untaught – unlearned.
Fear is what makes people comply – strength is what makes people complete.
Learn your strength, channel it, and push back fear. I’m not saying strength eliminates fear – I’m saying it pushes you past it.
…and really, that’s all we need.
Dig your heels into the sand – not your head.
