Happy Monday. Last week we went pretty deep into an article that helped get you powerful, defined, bulletproof hamstrings, by adding a simple but effective exercise to your leg day which requires zero equipment.
This week it’s all about cheese – and appropriately so – considering it’s National Cheese Day.
This one, like several prior posts is quick and easy, and will take less time to make than your rest time between sets. Best thing is, you only need 2 ingredients.
Let’s get started.
In celebration of National Cheese Day I figured why not mention one (of many of) my favorite cheeses.
This is one of those recipes for when you need a large, quick protein hit. It’s dead easy to make, and as an added bonus is full of healthy fats and antioxidants.
No need for a lengthy intro here, just make this in 3 steps and you’re done.
Cottage Cheese and Fruit
Makes: A bowl of delicious goodness.
Prep Time: Less time than it takes to rest between your superset.
Cook Time: 0 minutes.
Total Time: Under 5 minutes.
Items Needed: A bowl. A spoon.
- 1 Cup Cottage Cheese
- 1 Cup of Your Favorite Fruit
- 1 More Cup of Another Kind of Your Favorite Fruit
- 1 Tablespoon of Agave Nectar Syrup
- Throw all your ingredients into your bowl, starting with your cottage cheese first, and your agave last.
Couple things to mention.
If you read either SUPP UP. On The Go or At Home nutrition books, you’ll understand the obvious benefits of the ingredients chosen – cottage cheese for the protein (plus other benefits mentioned in SUPP UP. At Home) and your choice of fruits for for the mineral and antioxidant benefits.
I personally like a mixture of strawberries and blueberries in this recipe, or, some nice chilled pineapple – but that’s just me.
Take your favorite fruits and get creative, things can’t get much easier than this.
If you liked this recipe, share it.
If you really like this recipe, but don’t have the SUPP UP. books yet, buy either SUPP UP. On The Go or SUPP UP. At Home E-BOOKS now, and discover what other, unique to each book recipes are available under the “Snacks” chapters (preview of chapters available in shop).
Both books have recipes that provide nutritional breakdown so it makes things dead easy (as a heads up, this isn’t a recipe from the book – just something I wanted to share).
Drop by next week for yet another great post to add to your workout and nutrition arsenal.
Stop doing guesswork, start making the necessities of your life easier.
