Grill Memoirs: The Only Seasoning You’ll Ever Need.

We’re back with another Grill Memoirs post. You know what this life of athleticism is all about – good workouts, good nutrient dense food, and protein – lots of protein.

Flavoring all that protein – whether it’s fish, chicken, turkey, beef, venison, bison – well, it can get pretty monotonous sometimes. Don’t get me wrong – I’m definitely the type to fire up the grill after slow marinating a premium cut of beef the night before..but for those days when I have stuff to do, sometimes a flavor punch is what I need to be able to add to my lunch, and fast.

Let’s get started.

Like I’ve said time and time again the SUPP UP. Nutrition Guides, you should always think function, then flavor. It doesn’t have to always be one or the other – and most times you can have both. Being no stranger to a grill over many years, there’s always a go-to combination of spices I like to use.

If you know me, you’ll know I like to play around with spice mixes. This one always seems to give consistent results, and you can make it yourself at home because you probably already have the ingredients in your pantry.

Here’s the recipe.

This is a damn simple mix and the tastiest. I prefer garlic granules over powder because I like how the moisture gets into them. There’s also no preservatives or MSG that you’d usually get with some seasoning mixes.

If you read either of the SUPP UP. Nutrition Guides, you’ll know why I’m a firm believer in integrating some type of spice or seasoning mix with your food as well. Nutrient density is key, and so are things like antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and more to help with your digestive system.

You can use this easy seasoning mix on anything – beef, chicken, turkey, venison, fish, bison, you name it. I even like to use it on my Sunday steak and eggs breakfast.

Macros aren’t important here because we’re dealing with spices.

So next time you grill up something good, ditch the regular salt & pepper mix, opting for this instead.

That’s all, folks.
